End of an Era
May 20, 2013, 4:05 pm

With nearly two decades as Head Coach of the NorthStars, Mike Hall has resigned.  Mike has been with the organization for 30 years and has held positions with the team such as trainer, assistant manager and assistant coach before taking over the Head Coach Position from Abbie Carricato in 1994, right after the Legion Team at the time earned a Bronze Medal at the Air Canada Cup in Kitchener, in 1993.

Mike currently is the winingest coach in Great North Midget League History and has had four appearances at the National Midget League Championship, Prince Albert Alberta, Sault Ste. Marie, Red Deer Alberta and this past season back in Sault Ste. Marie.

Under the tutelage of Mike the NorthStars have made appearances at many All Ontario Championships as well as many first place Great North Midget League finishes and many playoff titles.

One area Mike is especially proud of is the number of players who have gone on to great hockey careers and also those who have become successful citizens with great careers.

The Soo Hockey Club and the NorthStars would like to wish Mike all the best in future endeavours and thanks so much for your time, dedication and commitment to the organization.
