The NorthStars won their final game of the round robin at the Kitchener Blueline Tournament this afternoon by a score of 4 - 3 over the Mississauga Senators.  They now await the completion of the round robin games to see who they will meet in the Semi-finals tomorrow morning at either 10:30 or 10:45.  Jacob Kment was in goal for the win.

Scoring for the NorthStars were:

1. Matthew Mitchell from Anthony Stefano at 2:25 of the first period while shorthanded.

2. Joey Miller from Devin Shell at 00:49 of the first period.

3. Jack MacLeod from Devin Shell at 8:48 of the second period.

4. Ryan Vendramin unassisted at 7:59 of the second period.

The NorthStars won their third game in a row this morning here in Kitchener at the Blueline Tournament by defeating the host Kitchener Jr Rangers 4 - 0  Brian Kment was in goal for the shutout.  Scoring foe the NorthStars were:

1. Brenden Pheasant from Ryan Cooke at 10:34 of the second period.

2. Jaren Bellini from Michael Amadio and Michael Caruso at 10:10 of the third period on the power play.

3. Nathan Hebert from Brenden Pheasant and Nick Trecroce at 9:28 of the third period.

The NorthStars won their second game of the day this afternoon defeating the Windsor Jr Spitfires by a score of 3 - 2.  Jacob Kment was in goal for the win.

Scoring for the NorthStars were:

2. Matt Pinder fron Nathan Hebert and Nick Trecroce at 9:34 of the second period.

Next action for the NorthStars is Saturday morning at 10:00am verses the Kitchener Jr. Rangers and their final round robin game will be at 2:30 against the Mississauga Senators.

The NorthStars opened the Kitchener Blueline Tournament this morning with a win over the Brampton Battalion by a score of 5 - 3.  Brian Kment was in goal for the win.

Scoring for the NorthStars were:

Next action for the NorthStars is this afternoon at 3:00pm against the Windsor Spitfires.

The NorthStars played the Soviet Wings at the Essar Centre last night before a good size crowd.  The game was a fast paced close affair with the Soviet Wings ending up on the winning side of a 3 - 2 score.  The goaltending for the NorthStars was shared by Brian and Jacob Kment.

Scoring for the NorthStars were:

1. Ryan Vendramin from Michael Amadio at 8:14 of the second period.

2. Joey Miller from Matt Pinder at 7:34 of the second period.

 

Next action for the NorthStars is this weekend when they participate in the Greyhound Invitational Hockey Tournament right here in Sault Ste. Marie, starting Friday. 

The NorthStars had a tough weekend on the road taking only one of four points home.  This afternoon in Kapuskasing the NorthStars lost 5 - 4 to the Flyers.  Kapuskasing scored 3 power play goals to one by the NorthStars.

Jacob Kment started in goal for the Stars.  Scoring for the NorthStars were:

Next action for the NorthStars is an exhibition game against the Russian Midget Team at 8:30pm Tuesday November 15 at the Essar Centre.  Then next weekend the NorthStars welcome midget teams from out of town and one from Russia to participate in the Greyhound Invitational Tournament. 

The NorthStars lost on the road tonight by a score of 7 - 6 to the Kapuskasing Flyers.  The Flyers scored 4 power play goals to the NorthStars 3. The NorthStars went down 2 - 0 then tied it up at 2 before the end of the first frame, then went down by score of 5 - 3 at the end of the second at one point during the second the Stars were ahead 3 - 2. Soon into the third the Flyers scored to make it 6 - 3 but the NorthStars refused to give up and stormed back to tie it at 6, which set the stage for overtime, but the flyers scored at the 3:35 mark to take the win.

Brian Kment started in goal but was replaced by Jacob Kment.

Scoring for the NorthStars were:

The next action for the NorthStars is Sunday at 1:00pm here in Kapuskasing for game two against the Flyers on the road.

The NorthStars played their sixth home game in a row this afternoon at the John Rhodes arena with a win over the New Liskeard Cubs by a score of 6 - 1.

The NorthStars outshot the Cubs 68 - 12 today and 54 - 10 on Saturday.  Jacob Kment was in goal for the NorthStars.
