The match was a much tighter game than Saturday's game where the Stars won by a score of 10 - 2. This afternoon was a final score of 4 - 2, with the Stars scoring all of their goals in the third period with the fourth into an empty net. Scoring for the North Stars were: 1. Brad Pascall from Joel McCauley at 16:42 of the third period. 2. Nicholas Romano from Joel McCauley at 8:09 of the third period. 3. Nicholas Romano from Brad Pascall at 2:52 of the third period. 4. Brandon Warmington at 00:12 of the third period into an empty net while short handed. A presentation was made at the last race of the year to Donnie Varcoe, in appreciation for all of the support he has given the North Stars. For the past three years the North Stars have been able to sell 50-50 tickets to raise money for the hockey team at Laird each week. It is through the efforts of Donnie that this has happened and has been successful. The North Stars and the Soo Hockey Club would like to thank Donnie, George, Greg and all of the fans and crews who supported the draw. It is community minded people like Donnie who make it a little easier to fund raise.
